This isn't the first time Microsoft has given away Gears of War games.
Additionally, tokens for the games will be sent "in waves" through Xbox Live messages "within one month of redemption." The offer expires on December 31. The fine print explains that you will need 32 GB of hard drive space to download all four Gears of War Xbox 360 games. The games- Gears of War (2006), Gears of War 2 (2008), Gears of War 3 (2011), and Gears of War Judgment (2013)-are playable on Xbox One through backwards compatibility. Everyone who buys the game on Xbox One-digital or at retail- before the end of 2016 will receive copies of all the Gears of War Xbox 360 games. Microsoft has announced a new incentive to encourage people to pick up Gears of War 4.
